10 Days Best of Rwanda Safari

Day 1, Arrival and Transfer to Akagera National Park
Upon arrival at the Airport, you will be met by our company driver guide who will greet you and also brief you about your Safari and then after, you will transfer to Akagera National Park. You will go for an evening game drive and have a chance to look at some animals before they get back to their habitants. Dinner and overnight stay at Akagera Lodge.

Day 2, Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park
You will have an early morning breakfast and then transfer south to Nyungwe Forest National Park. You will have lunch and after go and visit the Butare museum en route. Proceed and reach in the park in the late evening. Dinner and overnight at Overnight
Gisakura Guest House.

Day 3, Chimpanzee tracking and primate watching
Early in the morning, you will go for the chimpanzee trekking in the forest. Other primates that can be seen in the forest are the Ruwenzori colobus, L’Hoest’s monkey, The Silver monkey, Owl faced monkey and the Grey cheeked Mangabey and so much more. Return at the Guest House for dinner and overnight stay

Day 4, Transfer to Parc Nationale Des Volcanoes
After breakfast, you will start on your long drive to northern Rwanda and to the Volcanoes National Park. Dinner and overnight at Gorillas Nest /Virunga Lodge /Sabinyo Silverback lodge/ Kinigi guest house

Day 5, Gorilla Tracking
After breakfast, report to the headquarters of Parc Nationale des Volcans at 08:00hours for briefing, after the briefing from the authorities of the park, set off for the trekking into the rain tropical forest covering the hills surrounding Virunga Volcanoes. It is advisable to organize packed lunch and plenty of water for this sometimes strenuous activity. Return for dinner and over night at your lodge

Day 6, Second Gorilla tracking and evening community tour
You will wake up early and have breakfast, after this you will go for gorilla tracking again in Parc National des Volcans, you might have a chance to see what you missed seeing the previous day, This day you will not spend much in the jungle, return and later on and visit the Ross Carr's orphanage and the local school and community projects.  Dinner and overnight at your lodge

Day 7, Transfer to Lake Kivu
After breakfast, you will go for a morning boat ride on the lake where you will have a chance to see a lot of bird species and different water loving animals on the lake shore.
Dinner and overnight at Kivu Sun Hotel/Lake Kivu Serena Hotel
Day 8, full day at Leisure
You will have breakfast in the morning and will spend the whole day at Leisure on the shores of the lake. Dinner and overnight stay as above.

Day 9, Kigali City Tour
After breakfast, you will depart for Kigali where you will do a City tour and visit places like the market, a pottery project, handicraft shops, the Franco-Rwandan cultural centre, the Museum and the genocide memorial. dinner and overnight stay at Your Hotel in Kigali

Day 10, Departure
You will be picked fro your Hotel and be transferred to the Airport for your flight back home.
