13 Days Uganda Safari
Day 1, Arrival at Entebbe International Airport.
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by our safari guide who will transfer you to your hotel. Check in and relax while waiting for dinner. Overnight at Hotel Africana/Sheraton Hotel/Kampala Serena Hotel/Cassia Lodge /The lodge.
Day 2, Transfer to Murchison falls National Park
Have an early morning breakfast at the Hotel and after your driver guide will drive you to Murchison Falls national park which is located in the north western part of Uganda. This drive takes you through the past war zone of the Luweero Triangle. Have a stop over at Masindi for lunch and later take a drive to the top of Murchison falls at the Bakers summit to marvel at the Spectacular Nile squeezing its wave of rapids through the narrow cleft of Western Rift Valley. Dinner and overnight at Paraa safari lodge/Nile safari camp/Red Chilli Rest Camp.
Day 3, Game Viewing and Boat cruise
You will go for the morning game drive adventure to view lion leopard giraffe, elephant, buffalo hyena etc. Afternoon take a Boat cruise on River Nile up to bottom of the falls seeing giraffe, lion, elephant, schools of hippos and many bird species like the shoe bill stork. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari luxury Lodge/Sambiya River Lodge or Red Chili Camp
Day 4, Transfer to Fort Portal
You will have an early breakfast and leave the park heading Southwest via the Albertine Escarpment of the Western Rift Valley. Drive through Hoima, the capital of the Bunyoro kingdom, passing though countryside, tea plantations and traditional homesteads. You arrive in the colorful and pretty town of Fort Portal, the capital of the Toro kingdom, in the shadow of the fabled “Mountains of the Moon” (Rwenzori). Dinner and overnight at Mountains of the Moon Hotel/Fort Motel/ Nyinabulitwa Crater Resort
Day 5, Chimpanzee tracking
Have a morning breakfast and depart for the chimp tracking in Kibale forest National Park. along the walks you may sport chimps, white colobus monkeys, , grey-checked mangabey, red colobus, black-and-white colobus, Baboons and chimpanzees bird species such as the great blue turacco, Africa pied king fisher , malkites. In the afternoon, go for the Forest/Nature walk in the Bigodi swamp. Dinner and overnight at Ndaali Lodge/Chimp’s Nest.
Day 6, Kibale to Sempaya hotsprings
After breakfast leave Fortportal and take an excursion to Semliki national park, an eastern extension of the vast Ituri forest in western Uganda. This forest is one of the richest areas for both flora and fauna in Africa. You will take a nature walk through this jungle forest from which you may see primates, a number of birds as well as some mammals. You will also visit the beautiful Sempaya hot springs from where you can boil food especially eggs in the natural boiler within ten minutes and enjoy it. Late afternoon you will return to Kibale. . Dinner and overnight at Ndaali Lodge/Chimp’s Nest.
Day 7, Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After an early morning breakfast, you will return to Fort Portal commonly known for its weaving and basketry. After enter Queen Elizabeth National Park, which is dominated on its northern border by the snow-capped 16,000-foot Rwenzori Mountains-the famed "Mountains of the Moon". You will enter Queen Elizabeth with a game drive enroute and expect to see herds of impalas like Uganda Kob, topi, elephant and lion, giant forest hog, Cape buffalo. Dinner and overnight stay at Mweya safari lodge/Simba safari camp/Jacana Safari lodge
Day 8, Launch cruise and game drive
After breakfast in the morning, go for the launch cruise on the Kazinga channel which joins Lake Edward and George and boasts the highest concentration of Hippos in Africa. In the afternoon set out for the game drive and look out for the other mammals like the Waterbuck, Bushbuck, CapeBuffalo, Hartebeest, Giant Forest Hog, Warthog, Elephant, and potentially Leopard and Lion. Dinner and overnight stay at Mweya safari lodge/Simba safari camp/Jacana Safari lodge
Day 9, Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park
After breakfast, set out for the last game drive in the Ishasha sector while transferring to Bwindi. The sector is well known as the place for the Tree climbing lions. Proceed to Bwindi reaching in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay at Gorilla resort/Buhoma community bandas/Bwindi view Bandas
Day 10, Gorilla Trekking
You will rise early and have breakfast, after go for the Gorilla tracking in the forest which activity is once a life time experience. Before you set out for the trekking, you will receive guidelines from the well- trained guides and also will lead you to a point where the gorillas were encountered the day before. The hike duration is determined by the gorillas whose continuous search for food requires a nomadic lifestyle. The trek can take from 1-9 hours at altitudes in excess of 7,500ft and over rough and steep terrain. Although the hike is physically demanding, the beauty of the forest and its inhabitants make your experience extremely interesting. Upon encountering the gorillas, your fatigue is quickly forgotten. Return for dinner and overnight stay at Gorilla resort/Buhoma community bandas/Bwindi view Bandas
Day 11, Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast, set out for Lake Bunyonyi through the scenic Little Switzerland of Africa to the edge of the Lake. You arrive for your picnic lunch the take a canoe ride exploring some of the most beautiful Islands on the Lake. Dinner and overnight at Bushara Island Camp /Arcadia cottages/Bunyonyi overland resort
Day 12, transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Have breakfast and then drive to Lake Mburo National Park. You will have lunch in Mbarara town. On arrival go for a game drive and you will be able to see animals like the zebras, elephants, impalas, Uganda cobs, eland and so many others. In the evening you will go for a boat ride on Lake Mburo where you will see crocodiles, hippos and water birds. Dinner and overnight at Mantana tented camp/ Rwonyo rest camp
Day 13, Return to Kampala
Wake up early for a game drive on the Impala track. You will view the Impala, water bucks and warthogs, topis and Zebras. Later on go for the drive on the zebra track where you will view the Burchell’s zebra, oribi and reedbucks. Retire to the restaurant for a late breakfast, relax and have lunch. After lunch drive back to Kampala. Dinner and overnight at your Hotel in Kampala
