15 Days Cultural Safari
Day 1, Arrival
upon Arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be Met and greeted by our company representative who will be your guide. You will be transferred to your respective accommodation facility in Kampala for dinner relaxation and an overnight
Day 2, Cultural site around Kampala
After breakfast, visit cultural sites around Kampala. These include Kasubi tombs where Buganda kings and royals are buried, Kabaka’s lake and Palace, Nagalabi coronation site, Nakasero Green Market, Mulago Hospital, Uganda Museum, Cultural Market, Bahai temple, Namugongo shrines and many other interesting sites, learn the real history of what happened in Buganda, the transformations they have gone through and how different cultures interact yet without clashing with one another. Dinner and overnight at Cassia lodge /The Lodge/Hotel Africana
Day 3, Cultural Training at Ndere Centre
After breakfast, drive to the Ndere Centre for a one day workshop at the Centre concerning Uganda’s Culture. You will be trained in different cultural activities depending on the tribe of Uganda which activities include cooking traditional foods, traditional dancing, dressing in traditional attire and courtship the Ugandan style. Dinner and overnight at Serena Kampala Hotel, Emin Pasha Hotel or Sheraton Kampala/ Cassia Lodge/Hotel Africana, Mamba Point, Shangri- La Hotel or Tourist Hotel, Holiday Express Hotel.
Day 4, Cultural competitions
After break fast, drive back to Ndere Cultural center and participate in various competitions depending on what they taught you yesterday or what you learnt yesterday. The winners will be awarded prizes and certificates. You will have lunch at the centre and in the evening, you will get entertainment from the Ndere troupe. Dinner and overnight at Serena Kampala Hotel, Emin Pasha Hotel or Sheraton Kampala/ Cassia Lodge/Hotel Africana, Mamba Point, Shangri- La Hotel or Tourist Hotel, Holiday Express Hotel.
Day 5, Visit the Source of the Nile, Bujagali and Tororo
After break, drive to the eastern Uganda and visit the White Nile which is longest river in Africa. Make a visit to the mighty Bujagali falls and get a chance of seeing the real sparkling white water of the Nile as it forces its way through the stones. Listen to the mystery that surrounds Bujagali falls and have Lunch at Hotel triangle. After lunch, drive to Tororo reaching in the afternoon. You will have your dinner and overnight at Tororo Rock Hotel.
Day 6, Tororo Rock Hill
After breakfast, you will climb the Tororo Rock hill where the highest altitude of the hill is 4865ft. Also visit the ancestral cave and the various Rock paintings. Return back for lunch at the Hotel and get an afternoon go for entertainment from the local community group. Dinner and overnight at Tororo Rock Hotel.
Day 7, Transfer back to Kampala
After breakfast transfer back to Kampala. Have the afternoon relaxing. Dinner and overnight at Serena Kampala Hotel, Emin Pasha Hotel or Sheraton Kampala/ Cassia Lodge/Hotel Africana, Mamba Point, Shangri- La Hotel or Tourist Hotel, Holiday Express Hotel.
Day 8, Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast in the morning, you will drive to Murchison Falls National Park. Make a stop over in Masindi for lunch at Masindi Hotel then proceed to the Park. Upon arrival, go for the nature walk to the top of the falls and see where the waters of the mighty River Nile squeeze its self in a 7 meter gorge. Dinner and overnight at Paraa safari Lodge.
Day 9, Game drive and Launch cruise
After an early breakfast, you will go for a game drive. The Wildlife in the Murchison Falls National Park includes elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, Uganda Kobs, oribis and waterbucks. After the drive you will return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon you will go for a boat cruise which gives an exciting panoramic view at the bottom of the mighty Murchison falls. It enables you to see crocodiles, hippos, and birds on the river banks like kingfisher, cormorants, bee-eater and the rare shoebill stork. Dinner and overnight at Paraa safari lodge//Sambiya river lodge/Nile Safari Lodge
Day 10, Transfer to Fort Portal and the Toro Palace
After breakfast proceed to Fort portal via Hoima, Visit the Kings Palace and have lunch at Kolping hotel. The Entogoro cultural dancers will entertain you. You will then proceed to Fort Portal. Dinner and overnight at Mountains of the Moon Hotel.
Day 11, Visit the Karambi Tombs and the Crater Valley Region
Wake up early in morning and have breakfast, after visit again the Toro Kings Palace, a palace to the youngest king ever. Visit Karambi Kings burial grounds. Lunch at the Hotel and enjoy the entertainment by the Batoro Cultural dancers. Later proceed to Crater Valley Kibale (CVK) for Dinner and overnight camp located at the mouth of Kibale National Park/ Primates Lodge Kanyanchu/ Ndali Lodge.
Day 12, Chimp Tracking and Nature/Forest Walk
Go for an early morning chimpanzee tracking in the forest and expect to see a lot of chimpanzees and other animals like the forest elephants, buffaloes, leopards, bush pig and duiker, lions, warthogs, reptiles and amphibians as well as a colorful variety of butterflies. Return to the guest house for lunch. After lunch go for a nature walk in the Bigodi swamp area. Return to the lodge and after transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park reaching very late in the evening in time for dinner and overnight stay at Mweya safari lodge/Jacana/Hippo Hill camp/Simba safari camp
Day 13, Game Drives
Early in the morning set off for the morning game drive in the Northern crater area where there is a lot of dark holes called the black craters with no water. You may be able to see a lot of animal species such as the Elephants, lions, buffaloes, Leopards, monkeys such as the black and white colobus, vervet, patus, red-tailed and the blue monkeys. Other animals that can be seen are the bush pigs and the warthogs, antelopes. This side of the park provides a good view of numerous craters. The activity takes 3-4 hour. Return for lunch at the lodge and in the afternoon go for evening game drive in the Kasenyi area which is well known as the Kob mating grounds and there fore in this place one is able to see a lot of Kobs and other antelopes like the situnga, and the hyenas. Other animals can also be spotted such as the Elephants, lions, and many more. This takes 2-3 hour. Dinner and overnight stay at Mweya safari lodge/Jacana/Hippo Hill camp/Simba safari camp
Day 14, Morning game drive and transfer back to Kampala
After breakfast, you will have another early morning game drive and after transfer back to Kampala having a stop over at the Equator for photographs and water experiments. Proceed to Kampala reaching late in the evening in time for dinner and overnight stay at your Hotel
Day 15, Departure
After breakfast, depending on the time of your flight, you will have a short shopping tour to different craft shops like African Village at Buganda road, the crafts centre at National theatre and buy some souvenirs then proceed to the airport for your home bound flight.
