6 days Birding Tour Murchison falls Park

Day 1, Arrival at Entebbe international Airport,
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will meet by our company representative/ your Tour guide who will transfer you to your hotel of stay in Entebbe/Kampala

Day 2, Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast at your Hotel, transfer to Murchison Falls National Park making birding stopovers en route in different places. On the way, you may be able to see bird species like the Cliff Chat, Yellow-fronted Tinkerbird, Grey headed Bush Shrike, Singing Cisticola, African Moustached Warbler, Namaqua Dove, Green-winged Pytilia, Red-backed Shrike, Crested and Scaly Francolin, Grey-headed Bush Shrike, Northern and Black-winged Red Bishops, Black Bellied Firefinch, Black-faced Waxbill and Marsh Tchagra. Dinner and overnight stay at Red Chill Camp/ Sambiya River Lodge and Nile Safari Lodge /Paraa Safari Lodge

Day 3, Birding on the northern bank and Launch trip to the bottom of the falls
After an early breakfast, you will go for the game drive to the delta. Special species of birds include Silver Bird, Beautiful Sunbird, Speckle-fronted and Golden-backed Weavers, White Crested Turacco, Bruce’s Green Pigeon, Chestnut-crowned Sparrow Weaver, Pennant-winged Night jars, White-rumped Seed Eater. the Buff-bellied Warbler, Yellow-flanked Barbet and Black Billed Barbet, Bar-breasted Firefinch, Red-winged Grey Warbler, Spotted Morning-Thrush looking out for the Shoebill Stork along the Delta is many a time rewarding, Abyssinian and Rufaous Crowned Roller, Abyssinian  Ground Hornbill, Grey Headed and Striped Kingfisher, Red-throated and Northern Carmine Bee-eater, Goliath Heron, Saddle-billed Stork, Sacred Ibis, Osprey, Red-necked Falcon, Blue-breasted Bee-eater, and many more. In the afternoon, go for the launch cruise to the Bottom of the falls to search for other missed out birding safaris. Dinner and overnight stay at Red Chill Camp/ Sambiya River Lodge and Nile Safari Lodge /Paraa Safari Lodge

Day 4, Visit the top of the falls and birding
Have an early morning breakfast and after visit the top of the falls. You will get to see where the mighty river Nile squeezes its self into a 7 meter gorge. After you will have lunch and spend the rest of the day birding on the shores of the River. Red Chill Camp/ Sambiya River Lodge and Nile Safari Lodge /Paraa Safari Lodge

Day 5, Birding to Budongo Kaniyo Pabidi and transfer to Kampala
After an early breakfast, you will bird through Budongo Forest at Kaniyo Pabide. Birding in this forest offers views of birds like African Broadbill, the Puvell’s Illadopsis, Xavier’s and Icterine Little Greenbul, Slender-billed Greenbul, Cameroon Sombre Greenbul, Forest Robin, African and Red Bellied Paradise Flycatcher, African Emerald Cuckoo, Hairy-breasted Barbet, Dusky Long-tailed Cuckoo, Red-tailed Ant-thrush, Fire Crested Alethe, Yellow and Grey Long bills, Blue-throated Roller, Chocolate Backed and Blue Breasted Kingfisher, on the road bird species like the Whistling Cisticola, Black Bishop, African Harrier Hawk, Olive-bellied Sunbird, Chestnut Wattle-eye, Brown-eared Woodpecker. You may also do chimpanzee tracking if it is a lucky day. After the birding, drive back to Kampala reaching late in the evening in time for dinner and overnight stay at your Hotel.

Day 6, Departure
After breakfast, depending on the time of your flight, you will have a short shopping tour to different craft shops like African Village at Buganda road, the crafts centre at National theatre and buy some souvenirs then proceed to the airport for your home bound flight.
