21 Days Uganda Rwanda Safari

Day 1, Arrival at Entebbe international Airport,
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will meet by our company representative/ your Tour guide who will transfer you to your hotel of stay in Entebbe/Kampala

Day 2, Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Early in the morning after breakfast, set out and head to Murchison Falls National Park. Stop over at the famous Luweero Triangle and after proceed and reach in Masindi town in time for lunch at Masindi Hotel. After Lunch proceed to the park and upon arrival, visit the top of the magnificent falls and reach at the place where River Nile is farfetched into a seven-meter abyss to rumble 45 meters below. Check the series of cascades it forms, which can be viewed at different points up to the culmination. Next will be the dinner and overnight at Red Chilli camp/Sambiya River Lodge/Paraa Lodge / Nile safari Lodge

Day 3, Game drive and Launch cruise
After an early breakfast, you will go for a game drive. The Wildlife in the Murchison Falls National Park includes elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, Uganda Kobs, oribis and waterbucks. After the drive you will return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon you will go for a boat cruise which gives an exciting panoramic view at the bottom of the mighty Murchison falls. It enables you to see crocodiles, hippos, and birds on the river banks like kingfisher, cormorants, bee-eater and the rare shoebill stork. Dinner and overnight at Paraa safari lodge//Sambiya river lodge/Nile Safari Lodge

Day 4, Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Depart Murchison falls and make a short drive to the recently discovered bird population of Puvel’s Illadopsis, a dowdy bird with an impressive voice. Proceed to Holman with stop over at papyrus swamps on the way where specialties such as White-winged Warbler and Papyrus Gooney can be found, while the surrounding scrub may harbor, Double-toothed Barbet, Black-bellied Seed cracker and Gray-headed Olive back. Dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge / Primate Lodge/Chimp Guest House

Day 5, Chimpazee Tracking and Nature/Forest Walk
Go for an early morning chimpanzee tracking in the forest and expect to see a lot of chimpanzees and other animals like the forest elephants, buffaloes, leopards, bush pig and duiker, lions, warthogs, reptiles and amphibians as well as a colorful variety of butterflies. Return to the guest house for lunch.  Afternoon visit Bigodi Swamp Eco site sanctuary for more primate and bird watching.Dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge / Primate Lodge/Chimp Guest House

Day 6, birding, game viewing and sport fishing
After breakfast, you will be provided with your packed lunch and you will have a drive to the Semliki park headquarters in Ntandi. You will begin your bird watching adventure. Watch out for rare birds like; the shining blue Kingfisher, white-crested hornbill, black dwarf hornbill, white-thighed hornbill, black wattled hornbill, red-billed dwarf hornbill, Grant’s bluebill; blue billed malimbe; yellow throated nicator, green twinspot and so many more. You will also most likely see rare forest insects like the Goliath beetle and the Rhinoceros beetle. You will most likely come across a few primate species like chimpanzees, blue monkey, olive baboons, brazza’s monkey, vervet monkeys, to mention but a few. Stop for your lunch break and in the late afternoon equipped with your fishing gear, have a sport fishing spree on the river. Dinner and overnight in Semliki safari lodge.

Day 7, Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park
After breakfast in the morning, depart for Queen Elizabeth national park via Kasese. On arrival have lunch then tour the crater lakes region with the mystical Rwenzori ranges as a backdrop. Dinner and over night at Mweya Safari Lodge / Hippo Hill camp /Simba safari lodge.

Day 8, Game drive and Launch cruise.
Have breakfast and take on a morning game drive in search of the wild game animals like the Big five. The drive will reward you with excellent views of Lake Edwards and Lake George and the Kazinga channel. In the game drive, expect elephants, lions, buffaloes, kobs, the Python, hyenas, warthogs, birds’ hippos etc.   Return to the lodge for mid morning breakfast and then have lunch. In the after noon you will go for   a boat -cruise along Kazinga Channel, a natural channel between Lake Edward and Lake George. Expect to get exposed to a bird sin abundance both typical and migrants and the highest concentration of hippos in Africa. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge /Jacana Lodge/Institute of Ecology Hostel/Hippo hill camp.

Day 9, Transfer to lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast, Go for the morning game drive and then leave the Park to Kabale. The lake is located in Kabale District, southwestern Uganda and is reputed to be one of the deepest in Africa. There are no fish in the lake but it does contain a large population of freshwater crayfish. The surrounding hills are the home of the Bakiga people who are cultivators by tradition. Dinner and overnight at an up market lodge in Kabale.

Day 10, Transfer to Rwanda
Set off in the morning after breakfast and drive to Parc National Des Volcans in Rwanda with packed lunch. Arrive late in the afternoon, check in your place of accommodation.
Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Nest Hotel or Kinigi guest House.

Day 11, Gorilla Tracking in Parc National des Volcans
Have an early breakfast and proceed to the park headquarters for briefing prior to the gorilla tracking expedition. This whole day will be dedicated to gorilla tracking because the hours taken to locate these primates can be from half an hour to 5 whole hours. Put it in mind that at times gorilla tracking can be challenging, with weather changes and long hours spent to locate these great apes. A picnic lunch and plenty of water will be organized prior to the tracking since you may need to lunch in the middle of the forest. You will only be allowed to spend one hour with the gorillas. If you will carry a camera, only non-flash are agreeable in the gorilla sanctuary. At the end of the tour you will surely receive a certificate as a successful tracker. Return to Gorilla Nest Hotel or Kinigi guest House for dinner and overnight.

Day 12, Visit the Murambi genocide memorial site and drive back to Bwindi
Wake up for breakfast in the morning then visit Murambi genocide memorial and the national museum. Drive to Bwindi with lunch enroute. On your arrival, check into Gorilla Resort/Buhoma homestead for dinner and overnight.

Day 13, Gorilla tracking
After an early morning breakfast you will go for gorilla tracking. During tracking you will be able to see other primates like lhoest monkey, black and white colobus monkey, red tailed monkey and many others. In the evening you will go for a guided forest walk. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla resort/Buhoma community bandas/Lake Kitandara lodge

Day 14, Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
You will have breakfast in the morning and then drive to Lake Mburo National Park. You will have lunch in Mbarara town. On arrival you will go for a game drive. During the drive you will be able to see animals like the zebras, elephants, impalas, Uganda cobs, eland and so many others. In the evening you will go for a boat ride on Lake Mburo where you will see crocodiles, hippos and water birds like the rare shoebill stork.  Dinner and overnight at Mantana tented camp/ Rwonyo rest camp.

Day 15, Game drive and boat trip on Lake Mburo
Wake up early in the morning for a game drive on the Impala track. You will view the Impala, water bucks and warthogs, topis, zebras on this track. On the zebra track you will view the Burchell’s zebra, oribi and reedbucks. Retire to the restaurant for a late breakfast. Walk to the nearby salt lick to spice up the memory of your tour. At this observation point you will closely observe 4 animal species while they lick the salty soil without distraction. After lunch, have an afternoon boat trip on Lake Mburo to view vast birdlife like the Papyrus Gonolek, Brown-faced Lapwings, Caruthers’s Cisticola, the extraordinary White winged Warbler and Bare-Faced Go-away bird. Chances are high that you will also encounter large pods of hippo and view some of the park wildlife like eland, topi, and impala taking a drink from the lake. Dinner and overnight at Mantana tented camp/Mihingo lodge/.

Day 16, Transfer to Ssese Island
After breakfast, leave the Park and drive through Masaka. Have lunch before reaching Bukakata landing site. Board a ferry to Luuku landing site after which you will be transferred to Lutoboka bay. Check into Ssese Palm Beach resort for dinner and overnight.

Day 17, forest Walk and Island Tour
After breakfast, you will go for a forest walk on the island where you may sight monkeys, baboons, butterflies and breathtaking sceneries. Visit some of the fishing villages; observe the different types of fishing methods, different preservation methods and types of fish caught. After lunch, have an evening relaxation by either swimming in the lake or enjoy sport fishing on the lake. Dinner and overnight at Ssese palm beach resort.

Day 18, Transfer back to the landing Site and transfer to Jinja
Have breakfast then proceed to Luuku landing site where you will board the ferry to Bukakata landing site. Drive to Jinja making an optional stop over at Ssezibwa falls one of the heritage sites of the Buganda Kingdom in Mukono. Visit the source of the Nile and in the evening you can enjoy bungee jumping at a designated spot on the Nile. Dinner and overnight at the Jinja Nile Resort.

Day 19, white water rafting for a Full day
After breakfast, go rafting and spend a day on the river and raft for 48km Malalu point. Have lunch at this point and return for overnight at the Jinja Nile Resort/Gately on the Nile/Hairy lemon

Day 20, Bungee Jumping and return to Kampala
Today after breakfast, you will go Bungee jumping near the Adrift Camp site and later in the afternoon; do some Quads which after drive back to Kampala City. Dinner and overnight at your Hotel in Kampala

Day 21, Departure
You can relax at the hotel in the morning then prepare for your flight depending on your departure time. We shall transfer you to the airport to meet your flight. Depart with beautiful memories of your safari.
